BLAST FEST IN BATH

Misc. Author Info : The same archaeologist nutter who wrote BEACH.WAD

Description : This is my second attempt at a .WAD. The first
certainly kept my play-tester, Dave Evans, busy
cursing, although it's not too bad. This one is
probably a bit more difficult (a level 2, after
			  all!).

UAC have really done it this time. Your odyssey
through time has now taken you away from World War
II, and dumped you in the Roman Baths at Bath, and
judging by the buildings, its the 4th century AD.
Something strange has happened..the people are
missing, and the water has turned to unpleasant
green and blue slime..there are familiar growling
noises off. Remember the briefing..secure the
under-Temple at all costs - including your life!

And remember what the old book found in the Roman
Temple said: that the Dark Ones could turn the
air hard, so a man could see, but not move...

As a matter of interest, the ground plan of the
Baths is as accurate to the layout of the real
baths as it can be made with DEU. Admittedly,
the walls aren't decorated with skin in the Cold
Bath room, but that must be the effect of the
Callisto anomaly that UAC have been using to power
			  the time transporter...;-)

* Construction *

Base : None
Build Time : I dread to think
Editor(s) used : DEU 5.2, BSP 1.1, DMMUSIC 1.00
Known Bugs : Yep...there is an area cordoned off with the
'hard air' of the ancient book in the Temple
courtyard, because no amount of BSPing will
take away the Hall of Mirrors there. I don't
think I've done anything wrong: its probably
the sector limit of the Doom Engine (I could
have simplified instead, but I wanted to
keep the ground plan of the Baths). Actually,
its OK under Ultimate Doom (v1.9), so upgrade
			  now, folks!

Thought for the WAD

If I jogged on the spot when no-one was looking, just like the imps
and the troops, I'd be a healthier fellow...(erm...why do they do it,
incidentally?)
