NOTES: I've always wanted to make a "sewer" level, and was impressed by what this map suggested, but felt that the author did not go far enough. So I altered it [with his apparent consent - see below+] into something that I feel is a bit more ..... well, thorough. Sort of a combination of military base and slime pit/sewer tunnel: the idea is that you first fight your way into the control complex, gain access to the sewers, exterminate all infesting life forms, then try to exit. Surprises await. I intentionally made the opposition seem like less of a challenge than it really is at first - you seriously may wish to consider saving your goodie balls until you really need them; just because something's there doesn't necessarily mean you should use it right away [think Quake2]. But the bottom line is the same as my other "spawn" levels: last as long as you can, then go back down, put Mr. Daikatana-Head out of his misery and you're finished.

                          texture.  So, needless to say it looks fairly
                          pleasing to the eye!)

ADDITIONAL NOTE: I was quite amused to "open" this level with my WAD editor and find that Mr. Walker had arranged about a hundred health vials down in the slime tunnel into a pattern that, while appearing innocuous enough in the game standing in front of them, when looking at the map through a map editor read quite clearly "GO TO HELL!" [w/o the quotes]. While I found it to be a truly ingenious, almost postmodernist use of materials, I eliminated them because they really did nothing to contribute to the game: you couldn't see them from overhead and view them as a collective whole except in maybe a map cheat mode [I didn't try it]. So I eliminated the whole shebang and added the survival suit alcoves instead. In other words, don't go looking for his "sewer of health" - come down instead and die in our sewer of death.
