REAL Level Designer Info by Joe Zona (author of REAL)

If you want to create extra levels using the graphics set in REAL
or any other resources, than you will need this information.

All new levels should REQUIRE the original REAL to run correctly.
You may include new graphics as long as they do not interfere or
replace any of the original's graphics.  You should start with MAP08.

For purposes of identification, the filename should be something
along the lines of realxxxx.zip.

Here is a list of ALL the replaced sprites:

Big Twisted Tree - Tall Tree
Gray Tree - Leafy Bush
Short Green Pillar - Small Plant
Tall Green Pillar - Dark Bush
Eye Symbol - Crap w/ Flies
Beating Heart Pillar - Venus Fly trap w/ fly
Short Red Pillar - Small Rock
Tall Red Pillar - Large Rock
Floating Skull Rock - Waterfall Fog
Pole w/ Skulls - Large Fern Tree
Skull on pole - Leafy Tree
Skulls w/ candles - Toucan
Brown Spike - Newt on rock
Red Column w/ Skull - Tree Top (to be used on top of high thin sector)
Twitching Impaled Body - Flames

Here is a list of ALL the replaced textures:

CEMENT1 - Main Foliage
CEMENT7 - Green Foliage
MIDGRATE - Transparent Leaves
GSTFONTx - Waterfall

Here is a list of ALL the replaced flats:

RSKY1 - Gray w/ Mountains
GATE1 - Green Foliage
GATE2 - Dark Sky (Black)
GATE3 - Sunset Sky (Orange-White)*
CRATOP1 - Sand

*-must be used at very high light levels (around 255)

Here is a list of ALL the special action things:

Revenant - Invisible.  Produces jungle ambiance
Mancubus - Invisible.  Produces night ambiance
Dead Cacodemon - Invisible.  Waterfall (loops)
Technical Column -  Invisible.  Sounds music*

*-don't use it...you can replace the sound it plays (entry DSSKEPCH)

Note:  Because of the hacks, the above monsters/items will not behave
normally.  (to attack the player or be displayed as usual)
