At the DOS Prompt, in the Dr Who directory, type DRWHO and hit "return".

You will be presented with a graphical interface to help you select the
different options you need to play Dr Who Doom2.

On my computer, the DWD2I did not run under Windows 95, so you might
have to reboot your computer using Previous Version of MSDOS.

To play a single player game of Dr Who Doom2, left click on the word
"Single Player". A tick will appear on the left hand side, indicating
 you have selected this option.

To play a Deathmatch game of Dr Who Doom2, left click on "Deathmatch".

In version 1.0 of the DWD2I, "-altdeath" is automatically selected.
You cannot change this. This means that all items will be respawning.

To play a Cooperative game of Dr Who Doom2, left click on "Cooperative".

In version 1.0 of the DWD2I, there is no support for either network
 or modem play.

If playing a Deathmatch or Cooperative game, you will need to set the
COM Port Number, to indicate which COM Port your serial cable is
 connected to.

Left click on the "+" underneath the small box named "COM Port" to
increase the COM Number by 1. Left click on the "-" to decrease the COM
 Number by 1.

Depending on the level of the WAD you are playing, you might want to
 warp to different levels.

Left click on the "+" underneath the small box named "Warp" to increase
the Warp Level by 1. Left click on the "-" to decrease the Warp Level
 by 1.

In version 1.0 of the DWD2I, you cannot choose what skill to play the
game at. Instead, the program automatically sets the skill level to
 "Ultra Violent".

To use the different WADS, left click on the appropriate WAD to include
it in the game you play. To stop using the WAD, right click on it.

You can add your own WADs so you can play them by left clicking on the
button called "Add WADs". You will be presented by a dialogue box in
which you should enter the full path and name of the WAD.

In version 1.0 of the DWD2I, you can only add a maximum of two extra
 WAD files.

To remove WAD files, left click on the "Remove WADs" button. This will
clear all the user defined WADs listed. You will then be able to add
 other WADs.

Ķ

The patch file is automatically applied the first time you run the DWD2I.
The patch file is not necessary to play the game, but it contains special
settings to modify the DOOM2.EXE file for Dr Who Doom2. These include
special text strings and other alterations. Unfortunately, the patch file
is not compatible with all versions of Doom2.

If you have a file in your Doom2 directory called "DOOMHACK.EXE" then
make sure you have a backup, as applying the patch file will erase over
it. Also, make sure your "DOOM2.EXE" is free from any other patch files
otherwise the Dr Who Patch File will not apply properly.

To deselect the patch file, right click on the words "Patch File". The
tick will disappear to indicate that it is not in use. To select it again,
 left click "Patch File".

To play Dr Who Doom2, left click the Green Triangle, the "Play" button.

To quit Dr Who Doom2, left click the Red Square, the "Stop" button.
