         -={ A DETHTAG WAD FOR 2 TO 3 PLAYERS (though 4 can play) }=-

AN ALTOGETHER, FAR TO LENGTHY, VERBOSE
                              AND GENERALLY
ConFUsInG TEXT DETAILING THE RULES OF (AND
A QUITE OVERLY DESCRIPTIVE DESCRIPTION - ALSO KNOWN AS
                                    A
                              *WALKTHROUGH*)
A FABULISTIC NEW DETHTAG WAD, WHERE TEAMS DONT NEED TO

                                beforehand

                                   WHY?

Because: "I don't just go kill people? This is soooo confusing."

REMEMBER: This is a Dethtag style game, general Dethtag rules apply. What
are the general Dethtag rules you might ask. Read on....
         1) Telefragging is a no-no. Do not telefrag. Telefragging is
something that people do in regular deathmatch games, not in
Dethtag games. Telefraggers are bad people who are so st00pid
they cant even read this sentence. Dont telefrag. Get the hint?
         2) Take only those teleports which correspond to your color. This
is not a Dethtag rule, but in the case of this wad if you do it
really screws stuff up. The only exception to this r00l is made
exclusively for the fourth player, read on.
         3) No fighting in the area that you first appear in. No shots fired,
no punches thrown. Verbal abuse is encouraged though. =8'P~

OBJECTIVE: Go to one of your opponent's forts, grab a suit & push a button,
run to the common area, push a button, wait for the wall to lower then run
across the Hot Rox, push a button, teleport back to your fort, run to your
other opponent's fort, grab another suit & push another button, make another
run across the Hot Rox, teleport back to your fort, then grab the suit in your
fort's center room, push the button, do the run across the Hot Rox again,
teleport back to your fort. Repeat this circuit 3 more times (rinse, lather,
repeat). On the third trip across the Hot Rox of the fourth circuit you will
get to push a button that you always got teleported away from before, after
pushing this button you get teleported to a new place with a BFG & an
Invulnerability Sphere in easy reach. Grab the BFG & Invuln Sphere - you
win!!! Easy, hunh! @8'P~

DESCRIPTION: There are 5 main areas: Green player's fort , Indigo player's
fort, Brown player's fort, the common area (where the BFG and Invuln Sphere on
a pillar are), and the Hot Rox area. If there are only 2 players then the
Brown fort will be inaccessible.
- All fort's layouts are identical, though the Indigo fort is set at 90
degrees of rotation to the other 2 forts (don't ask why).
- Each fort has 2 color coded button rooms in the back - one for each
opponent: gray skulls = indigo player's button rooms, green skulls = green
player's button rooms, brown skulls = brown player's button rooms. This is
where the first part of a point circuit takes place.
- Each fort has a central room where there are skull posts which show your
opponent's progress, and a room which is blocked by 1 or 2 bars depending
upon how many players are in the game. The room blocked by the bar(s)
houses the second part of each point circuit.
- The Hot Rox area is common to all players, and houses the final part of
each point circuit. At the southern end of the area is a platform which
lowers and rises (quickly, so run), to allow access to three rooms - one for
each possible player. Inside of each of these rooms is yet three more
button rooms, one for the second half of scores against each of your
(possible) opponents, and one for the completion of each circuit.
- In the common area immediately north of the Hot Rox there are 2 pillars: one
pillar with two buttons on it (push either of these buttons to gain access
to the Hot Rox area) and the other pillar with a BFG and an Invulnerability
Sphere on top of it (the trophies for the winner). There are also skull
posts here which tally how many circuits each player has completed. There
are no other BFG's or Invuln Spheres in the game. Sorry if u are a BFG
  Junkie, kiddo. :-P~

HOW DO I PLAY THIS ST00PID GAME!: For the sake of explanatory ease I will
describe a two player game from the perspective of the green player (for three
players add another series of trips to the brown player's fort for both the
green and indigo player) in cooperative mode. First timers are strongly
suggested to start the game in COOPERATIVE MODE!!! NOT DEATHMATCH OR
DEATHMATCH ][!!! While the game will support both Deathmatch modes,
Cooperative mode will lower the possible chances of a mistake being made -
someone taking a wrong teleport, and add a twist (kewl, zombies
everywhere!!!). =8-0 Incidentally, if one of your fellow players asks why
its in Cooperative mode, this should be a hint to you that: A) they can't
read, and/or B) that they have'nt read these r00lz yet.
- You appear in a room accesible only by teleport or death in your fort. MOVE
NOW! This will trigger some neccessary tags. While the wall which allows
you access to the other areas is coming down, exit from the room you are
in and go grab some gunz&ammo.
- Got your Devices of Destruction? About time! Now run to the indigo
player's fort - the one with the dark gray bricks & grey skull doorjams - on
the west side of the map and around to the back side of the fort. There are
2 staircases to button rooms there (just like your fort - identical layout,
remember?). Find the one with the big, green skull wall and "ascend" the
staircase. Go through the door at the top of the staircase. There are 2
other doors in this room, behind the biggest of the doors is the button you
have to push to begin the first part of a circuit. There is also a radiation
suit in there, which will make running across the Hot Rox a little easier to
bear. Open the door and grab the suit.
- SURPRISE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its the indigo player's zombie,
kill it and push the button behind him. By the way, when you killed the
zombie, you also killed the indigo player, kewl hunh? Remote kills, neato.
This function is only available in Cooperative mode. In Deathmatch mode you
get no zombies; thus no remote kills. Note that this particular zombie will
not ressurect, but you will be seeing others all over the place as the game
progresses. These new zombies dont cause remote kills (shucks!), but I am
  working on it.
- OK, you grabbed the rad suit, killed the zombie, pushed the button and you
just heard the teleport sound of an angry indigo player ressurecting
somewhere nearby in the fort. Run, man, run! Run to the common area where
the two pillars are. Climb the stairs to the pillar with the 2 buttons on
it and push the button (either button will do). This will lower the wall
that blocks passage to the Hot Rox area. As soon as possible, run across
the Hot Rox to the lift which is lowering as you run, If you were'nt quick
enough, no prob - the lift can also be push activated. Now go through the
open doorway, if 2 doorways are open, take the one with the green (remember
that this explanation is from the perspective of the green player) skull
  doorjams.
- So you went in and the door closed behind you. That is a sign that you can
take a little bit of time and be careful. Go through the open doorway and
push the button. When you back up, you will teleport back to the starting
point in your fort. Don't mess up and teleport before you hit the button.
- If you are playing a 3 person game, go do all the above to the brown
player's fort, followed by another run across the hot rox, etc...
- After you have pushed all the buttons in your opponent(s)'s fort(s) which
belong to you, which you have access to... You are now in your starting
spot in side your fort again, all you have left is the final part of the
point. Go upstairs to the center room, where your opponent's skull pillars
are. The bar(s) blocking the way to your rad suit and "final part of each
circuit" button should now be gone. Go in, grab the rad suit, push the
button and run to the Hot Rox.
- Run the rox, go through your doorway, enter the center hall. Poof! you are
teleported back to the starting point inside your fort.
- The above series of actions describes what I can only seem to define as a
"point circuit". Complete the circuit three more times (for a total of four
circuits), "rinse, lather, repeat". On the final circuit you will be able to
push your endgame button at the end of your center hallway on the south end
of the Hot Rox. Take a step back and teleport to the famed "Trophy Pillar".
Make sure you hit that button for certain, BEFORE you take the step back.
Maybe hit it twice just to be sure, definately watch the eyes to see if they
light up. You won! Anyone who questions your superiority at this point can
take the issue up with "The Invulnerable Mr. (or Ms.) BFG"! @|-]

SOME SPECIAL NOTES:
- "How do i read the all these scoring posts". INSIDE THE FORTS: The walls to
these will only open for those players who are resident. If you are the
green player (and you are playing against 2 others) two sections of the wall
in your fort's center room will lower to reveal a brown and a gray (indigo)
area. In the brown area there is a gray (indigo) skull post and a green
skull post; in the gray (indigo) area there is a brown skull post and a
green skull post. A post will rise one "skull" for each initial part of a
circuit that has been completed. OUTSIDE IN THE COMMON AREA: on the pillar
with the two buttons for lowering the wall to the Hot Rox area and also
against the cement wall on the north side of the common area there are skull
posts which tally completed circuits; one skull per circuit. Lets say the
brown player has completed 2 full circuits and has scored a third time
against the indigo player but not the green player yet. In the open area,
all the brown skull posts would be 2 skulls high. In both the green and
indigo forts the brown player's green skull posts would be 2 skulls high,
and his indigo posts would be 3 skulls high.
- On the subject of Hot Rox: The only way out of that area is to teleport.
The run CAN, and has to, be made to the open door and the button
pushed without a rad suit. Also, when you cross the halfway point across
the Hot Rox, the wall behind you will rise enough that anyone on the other
side of it can't enter the Hot Rox area (but they can still shoot their
shotguns at you) unless they push a button on the pillar.
- "I hate those goofy zombies, I wanna play deathmatch!" No skin off my
patoot, ya weenie. ;-> Deathmatch starts are in an area accessible only in
Deathmatch mode. Take the teleporter which corresponds to your color.
Telefrags and teleporting into another player's fort are considered to be
unkewl (how about against the r00lz, will that werk for ya?), so don't do it
unless you are willing to be shunned by all "Right Thinking People" (got
that from Newt Gingrich, har har). :-)
- On the subject of a fourth player. Rules for the fourth guy? HAH. And yet
again I say HAH! Make your own. Then try to make the Lone Red Ranger stick
  to 'em. Hah, I say.

                                 -=THE END=-
                                            really, I swear.

                                                           ok, so I lied <8'P~
                                                           it only took me 15
                                                          minutes to read this
                                                          & I edited some too!
