The final day in Doom Center's Episode 1 Week, you'll be treated to
Legacy Doom demos (*.lmp) to view, but not just any demos. These are
John Romero ousting the enemies through Knee Deep in the Dead on Ultra
Violence mode. In addition to this, John has put comments for each demo
in the Legacy info box, as well as commenting the entire way through
each level with one-liners, design comments, history, etc.!

COMMENTS:

E1M1: The beginning of it all..... (2:18)

E1M2: One of my favorite maps.... the first Key seen in DOOM... the
huge dark secret area with the extra hidden chainsaw... (5:28)

E1M3: This map is special because it has the first HARD to find secret,
the entrance to the secret level, and the part where the lights go out
and the imps come in! (7:58)

E1M4: Originally Tom Hall's level, it introduced a more free-form
method of solving a level without leading you by the nose through it.
I like the maze at the end and the slime river secret. (6:29)

E1M5: I have strong feelings for this map -- it's my first level that
has lots of connections between major areas... the dark part at the end
was scary....there's lots of subtle tricks in DM on this map. (6:47)

E1M6: This is a pretty big level and has lots of things to blow
away..... I like the mazey section and all the secrets in this map.
(9:38)

E1M7: My most complex E1 map... the last Key is here... you have to
backtrack... and the outdoor secret lets you destroy everything at the
end! (9:07)

E1M8: Here it is -- the Baron of Hell, or as we originally called them,
the Bruiser Brothers! (?:??)

E1M9: The Secret Level -- and it's tough! Tons of monsters and a tough
exit room. (6:18)
