I Introduction
	Welcome to my Ghostbusters Total Conversion for DOOM II.  This is a PWAD (patch wad file) for DOOM II.  To run this you will need the following:
	1) MS DOS 5.0 or higher; 386/33 minimum; 4MB RAM
	2) VGA Graphics
	3) Compatible sound card
	4) Modem for Multiplayer games
	5) Registered version of DOOM II v1.9
	6) The following files:
		a)ghostbst.wad
		b)ghostbst.deh
		c)deusf.exe
		d)dehacked.exe
		e)gbsetup.bat

	I began this project on 04-24-99. Today it is 02-13-00 as I near final completion.  As you can see I have spent much time on this so please enjoy.  This project is meant as a tribute to the Ghostbusters theme, not as a slam. I have meant no offense to anyone.  If I have offended someone with this, I apologize.  That said, let's get on to lighter matters.

II Story

	You are a Ghostbuster. (as if you didn't know:-)  It has been a little while since you stopped the evil doings of Gozer and more recently, Vigo.  Things have slowed down again and the EPA is breathing down your neck regarding the possible saftey hazard of you ecto-containment unit.
	The phone rings.  A call.  Ghosts are starting to show up again.  This is no time at all to be ordered to shut off the ecto-containment unit's protective grid. Yet, the government has ordered you to do exactly that.  You grab your proton pistol and slide down the fire pole.  As you squeal off into the streets of New York City and look up at the ominous red overcast sky,you can't help but wonder what lies in store.

III Missions
	1) The Library- Ghostly sightings have been reported at the local 	   library.
	2) The Hotel- You must vanquish the pesky spirits before the hotel 	   looses all of its buisness.
	3) The Firestation Headquarters- You must obey the government's 	   orders and shut off the protection grid to the ecto 	   -containment unit.
	4) City Streets- The ghosts released from the containment unit 	   have run amok. Now the mayor wants them to be captured again.
	5) The Underground- Is there another river of pink slime?
	6) The Roof- A very very bad place to be. Enough said.

IV "Weapons"
	Since your last big battle with Vigo, Dr. Spengler and Dr. Stantz have developed some new ghostbusting tools and also improved some of the traditional ones.
	1)
		a)Ghost Vacuum- just what it sounds like, only hand 		          operated.
		b)Ghost Trap- Walk up to a ghost & suck 'em up.
	2)Ghost Pistol- a relatively weak proton discharger for little 	            ghosts.
	3)
		a)Ghost Blaster- fires cannisters of radioactive waste to 		  unsettle the molecular structure of protoplasmic beings.	
		b)Blast Cannon- uses radioactive waste-cannisters too, but 		  with more kick that the Ghost Blaster.
	4)Alternating Proton Discharger- Discharges protons rapidly from           two separate sources.
	5)Slime Blower- squirts positively charged slime at ghosts to 	            disrupt their negative energy.
	6)Proton Pack- The good old proton pack.
	7)Ghost Bomb Launcher- Launches Ghost Bombs which have a wide           reach of influence when they explode.

V Items
	These are things you'll want to keep an eye out for during your 	adventure.
	1)Twinkie- yummy little yellow cakes to boost your enery, or use 	  them as a metaphor if you feel the need:-)
	2)Rubber Gloves- Keep that gooey protoplasm off your skin.
	3)Ecto Goggles- help you see spirits in total darkness.
	4)PKE Meter- It's the computer map. Use your imagination.
	5)Storage Cannisters- Highly pressurized protoplasmic storage           units.

VI Final Note
	Keep in mind that this is not regular Doom II. Things will act differently than you might expect.  Keep your eyes open and save often. But most importantly, don't take anything too seriously.
