This is simply a breif story (and epilogue for Mission XVI) for
all the missions in the Doom2099 Addition. For background info,
see 2099ADD.txt.

Mission XVI: Back to Reality

After fighting many missions that made no sense, you mumble to
yourself as you emerge from this warped episode. You've seen all hell
break loose right in front of your eyes, witnessed enormous Cyborgs
almost tear out your synthetic parts, even seen countless murders caused
by yourself. All this dwells deep within your soul, as you look for some
sort of clue to where the h*ll you are. Finally, you find a teleport.
The computer panel is burnt, and badly damaged, but you run a few
modifications to it, and you can set coordinates. You set them for
Earth, right on the coast of Florida. Smiling to yourself, you enter
the teleport, and let the green blur completely envelop you. After a
few seconds, you materialize and see a quite smooth plain, and some
broken metal pieces...the sky is a pale, ugly greenish brown color.
You turn over a few chunks of burning metal, nothing seems to give
any clue to what they were. After a few scraps, one says "NASA" on
its side. You hold the piece in your hand for a few seconds, stunned.
Finally, you whisper to yourself, "What am I doing here? And where
is this?" You hear some crunching noises...and a few clicks...then
it hits you...Cyborg Tanks! In a state of complete panic, you reach
for your gun...

Mission XVI: Epilogue

"This must be Saturn!" After a few investigations, you come the
conclusion that you're stuck on Saturn with a bunch of these Cyborgs.
You pull out your gun, and aim it straight ahead of you as you enter a
small shack you've found...

Mission XVII: The Demon H.Q.

The Demon's Saturn H.Q. must be this place. You're going to have to
fight through huge battles, and destroy many enemies. This "small
shack" you entered was the staircase to the underground technical
base of the Demons! Find the main reactor and turn it off, so the
demons have no power to the base.

Mission XVIII: Processing Plant

You come across some kind of processing plant. This compound still has
power, so it must be important. Destroy it and leave before the Demons
blast you to slop...

Mission XIX: Lights out!

With barely any light at all, the demons and Cyborgs are running
in the dark to try to get the reactors online again. You've got
to kill them all and get out of the base again. This time,
there'll be reinforcements to help out, and the demons have already
taken the dead remnants of what you killed to be regenerated by
the Arch-Vile Center. But that will come later. Now, stop the Demon
effort to restore power to their base.

Mission XX: Cyborg Suburb

You escape from the base, only to find yourself in a huge pool of acid. You
quickly scream, and leap backwards. Ahead, you can see a large facility...
what appears to be an old storage building. You also can see a small town,
but it seems to be elevated too far for you to climb up onto. You decide to
head for the storage area, and clean out the suburbs later.

Mission XXI: The Void

After your victory in the Cyborg Suburb, you're wandering around, when you
see a large building connected to what looks like a dirt-covered pit. Looking
around it, you spot some Cyborgs. Quickly, you clamber up onto it and draw
your gun. What could this place be? Are there other inhabitants?

NOTE: You WILL die at the end of this level, even if you're a cheater. After
you go through a silver and red teleport, you'll die. Wait for a second or
two, and you'll exit. Don't forget!

Mission XXII: The Sewage System

How do you stop the Demons from manufacturing their acid fuel? The Sewage
system, of course! You've got to get inside their well-protected sewage base,
and find the shutdown switch. They've only got one central computer, but it's
not going to tell you where the shutdown switch is. It should be not only well
guarded, but also hidden.

NOTE: If you can't find a Shotgun, that's because this level is strictly
pistol-only! Don't worry, it's fair, so don't wimp out!

Mission XXIII: Computer Central

Here lies the Demon's core computer base. When you find the core, immediatly
destroy it. You can do that by pressing the self-destruct switch. The Demons
have been incredibly careful in guarding the core. The core is a glowing
green polygon, you'll know it when you see it. When you hit the
self-destruct button, it will explode, and the level will end. Don't get
too close to the core, it's radioactive!

Mission XXIV: The Gateway

As it turns out, the Mutant Demons have been coming through a
interplanetary Gateway, teleporting them instantly to the place
where they place the Gateway destination device. They placed the
device in an open field, but then the Military found and stored
it deep within a containment chamber. The Mutantions quickly
broke free, and are now running rampant once again. The device
cannot be broken, people have tried countless ways of destroying
that thing. The only way you're going to beat this thing is by
setting it in a containment chamber again, and sucking out all
the oxygen. How are you going to do that? Simple. The device
is still in the containment chamber, all you have to do it shut
the doors and suck out the oxygen. You're inside the building,
but the Military is too busy to help, so you're in this alone.
Good luck...

Mission XXIV: Epilogue
You have found the room containing the Gateway, and you rejoice! Earth
has been saved from yet another invasion. You prepare to seal the entrance
and activate the vacuume, ending the waves of Cyborgs once and for all.
Wait... that noise. Something is transporting through the Gateway! You pull
your gun, and watch as the green light grows brighter. An unarmed mutation
steps out and adresses you.
"I have been sent by the Chief. We are prepared to tell you the location of
our breeding ground, as a true test of your ability. If you accept, you will
have the opportunity to destroy the core of our existance, but we are sure
you will fail..."

You're on your own now... good luck!
