Update to : None (or rather wotdoom2, but that isn't in the
                          archive either)
Advanced engine needed : None required, though an advanced port removes the
need for the installation process - the two wads
and the deh can be used directly from the zip.
Remember to warp to map03 though!
Tested and seems OK (not played all the way
through in all cases) with Prboom, Eternity and
                          Legacy.
Some minor errors reported when building GL nodes.
Water effects in map05 may not look right without
                          software rendering.
Does NOT work correctly with Zdoom (player speed
is too high, and some intended effects don't work).
Fails at start-up with Chocolate-Doom with -merge,
with the error message "R_InitSprites: Sprite SKEL
: B : 4 has two lumps mapped to it". OK using
                          deusf and -file though.
Primary purpose : Single+Coop play / Deathmatch

'WHEEL OF TIME' DOOM version 3 (final?)

Wheel of Time Doom (WoTDoom) is a 5 level set of levels (not including the
two 'dummy' levels at map01 and map02) inspired by the Robert Jordan
fantasy novels. I won't go in on the storyline, because likely you don't
give a damn. (Just let me PLAY IT, ALRIGHT !)

This is the final version of what has become a popular series. Wheel of Time
Doom version 2 is sitting on a few famous web sites, besides FTP.CDROM.COM. I
have recieved countless E-mails praising it.

Without further ado, I'll highlight what you'll see in WoTDoom3:

Basic Info:
***************************************
GAME : Doom2 version 1.666 or higher (1.9 *highly* recommended)
LEVELS REPLACED: Maps 01 through 07
SPRITES/FLATS : Yes, I added significanly more enemies, and a few more
flats, so yes it's time to pull out DEUSF again. (included)
(Never fear; let my install.bat take care of things)
TEXTURES : Yes a LOT of new textures and animations
DEHACKED PATCH : YES YES YES it is MANDANTORY but since I'm using the latest
version of Dehacked, there is no need to back up your
Doom2.exe file. Just let my INSTALL.BAT take care of it.
MUSIC/SOUND FX : Yes ALL music replaced, and most of it with tunes I
GARANTEE you haven't heard before. Use the cheat code "IDMUS" followed
by a two-digit number to cycle through the musics while in game.

       * * * Music intended for us AWE-32 sound card owners out there * * *
(but still sounds good on any sound card)

DEMOS : No
NETWORKABLE? : Yes - and tested. It does involve some effort, though.
Rename DOOM2.EXE to something else and rename "WoTDom3.exe" to
to "doom2.exe" and then add the wads. That'll work.
FINAL FILE SIZE: Roughly 8.5 Megs after "cleaning". Not bad, eh?
***************************************

Detailed Info:

NEW WEAPONS !!!
	1. Chaingun suped-up into an awesome Super Chaingun. Instead of a
wimpy little grey barrel, you'll have a huge, black-barreled
assault-stlye rifle that spits not bullets, but shotgun blasts.

        2. In fitting with the "magical" mood of the wads, the Rocket Launcher
is replaced with your own gloved hand, with which you "toss"
fireballs at your enemies. It still explodes like a rocket, but
the explosion looks better and does more damage.

	3. Plasma Rifle is now you casting jets of flame. (Kinda like HEXEN
only I didn't use any of thier frames). The flame is the Archvile
fire, with some frametable work done so that it looks good, sounds
           good.

	4. BFG is totally gone - replaced with a well-animated sword from
the books, CALLANDOR. (not calander, CALLANDOR !) Callandor is a
Ser'angreal, which is an item that allows the user, you, to handle
more magic than normal. With Callandor you can launch two, yes
TWO, awesome BFG blasts, for half the ammo, at your foes. You
really ought to see this weapon to believe - I used a SNAPPY video
capture to digitize my own arm swinging a real sword, then used
Paint Shop Pro to add the "magical" effects.

NEW ENEMIES !

	1. The Myrddraal - (pronounce merr drrr all) is a swordsman replacing the
Revenant. These guys are based off the enemies of the same name from
the novels. They swing a jet-black sword, and are quick on their feet.

	2. The Trolloc - Huge, beastly characters half-man, half-beast. Sounds like
a Baron or a Hellknight, right? Right! I took the the Hellknight frames
and increased thier size CONSIDERABLY. These guys attack with a one-two
fireball attack, the likes of which you've never seen before. You'll
           love to hate them.

	3. The Black Wind - ???? Haunts the dimension known as "The Ways".

	4. DreadLords - Several varieties. All resemble the Player, with different
deathmatch colors, and all of them have different weapons. One uses a
pistol/beserk fist combo, another uses Rockets, another Plasma Rifle fire,
another Weak BFG's..... Needless to say, they also can revive the dead!!

There are a few other "less important" enemies, but for sake of brevity (hah) I'll stop
there.

NEW LEVELS !

	1. The levels feature every special effect in the book, plus a few I made up
myself. Those who've played WoTDoom2 will be pleased to learn that I have
added one more level to the deck.

	2. The levels are based off of various books, plots, places, etc. from Wheel
of Time, including in this set:
a: The WayGate Temple: Map03 (*deserted* temple)
b: The Ways: Map04 (dark dimension haunted with the Black Wind)
c: The Eye of the World: Map05 (great water special FX here)
d: The Dungeon (of the Stone): Map06 (huge level full of booby-traps)
e: The Heart of the Stone: Map07 (looks almost EXACTLY like the book cover
                                                                                        of THE DRAGON REBORN)
SO HOW IN THE HECK DO I PLAY IT?

Ok, ok. This TXT is becoming a novel in and of itself. To install WoTDoom3, unzip the
entire contents of this zipfile into your DOOM2 directory, and at a DOS prompt, run the
INSTALL.BAT file. The install will not only decompress and restore the wads to a
playable level, it will clean up after itself! It will delete all the installation
tools and even the install.bat itself.

Read what the install.bat says to you, and you'll be alright. (take notes, sp?)

See the README.TXT for more details.
