Comments:

  --- E1M4 - Command Control

Okay, it's a wimpy E1 level. Better have fun with it. Two mottos
for this one: "ammo is cheap", and "splattered guts: it's what's
	for dinner".

I make no attempt to conserve ammo and have little regard for my
own safety, but on E1M4 you don't need much of either. :-) I tried
to get in as many exploding-barrel-body-splatters as possible, and
even landed three double-splatters. Taking out three former humans
with one shotgun blast was also kinda fun. ;-)

If you like flying meat and fast action, this is for you. Finished
	it with 100% kills / 71% items / 100% secrets, a reasonable amount
of health and armor (i.e. well over 100%), in 5:31.

There's nothing truely remarkable about this LMP, except that, of all
the ones I've done so far, it mostly clearly shows the way I like
to play DOOM. It's fast and fun to watch.

  --- E2M9 - Fortress of Mystery

If you have a better LMP of this level, I'd love to see it.

	I finish with 100% kills/items/secrets, 200% health/armor, never get
hit by a monster or damaged by slime, and use nothing but the pistol.
	Completion time was 4:42.

I started off by grabbing the shotgun, because usually there are two
or three barons left at the end, and I run out of bullets trying to
use only the pistol. Besides, it's fun to run circles around the
	barons.

On this particular run, three barons of hell lay dead while there
were still three cacodaemons floating around. (I couldn't believe
it, so I went out and looked for the other barons, not knowing they
had been reduced to gooey piles on the floor.)

When the count went down to two, I ran out, did my dance, came back
in, got the baron to kill the remaining cacodaemon (he killed one of
the two while I was off dancing), and then proceeded to kill the
baron with the pistol. (This satisfies the "you must kill at least
two monsters after dancing" requirement, since I caused them to kill
	each other.)

Only ammunition expended during this LMP was exactly 100 bullets
from the pistol, all of them into (or at least in the general
direction of) the final baron. This level is great viewing in map
	mode with two "iddt"s.

  --- E3M3 - Pandemonium

The hardest part about E3M3 is the very start, where you're
surrounded on three sides by bad guys and have a pinky charging at
you right off. For my opening, I immediately sprint out past the
pinky, head down the isle with the box of bullets, then sit back and
watch the pinkies and the imps rip each other apart.

I then do my dance, collect the shotgun and blue armor, and work my
way down the east side. When that's done, I come back south and work
the west side, eventually coming out up north at the exit after a
detour to pick up the big energy cell pack (don't need it, but I like
	to be thorough).

There are a few fun moments, like splattering imps with the berzerk
fist. When I entered the north chamber where the second baron of
hell hangs out, I pause for a moment in confusion, because he isn't
there (and I don't have a sound card so I have no idea where he is or
how far). I went looking and found him soon enough. ;-)

Final stats: 100%/100%/100%, lots of health & armor, in 10:42.

  --- Free Interpretation

A low-ammo E3M1. The nifty thing about E3M1 is that it's the first
level (other than E2M9) where you really *need* to force the monsters
to fight each other in order to get out with a reasonable amount of
	ammunition.

I let the cacodaemons and imps slug it out at the start and in the
room with the big tree. All cacodaemon work is done up close and
personal with the pistol. I got through the room after the shotgun
that has three imps without getting scratched, though it cost me four
shotgun shells to kill the last one.

The only time I got hit was by the first of the pinkies, which chewed
on me 4 times while I was trying to beat it to death with my bare
hands (I don't do very well unless I can give ground, but I was
determined to try :-) ). The other 4 pinkies died without touching
	me.

Final stats were 100%/100%/100% in 5:12, with plenty of ammo.

Author info:
DOOM and DOOM2 are the only games I own for the IBM PC; I'd own more
but I don't own an IBM PC. (See DM-ATM for more info, and some nice
	renditions of E1M9, E2M6, and E3M6.)

I've watched a few LMPs of people finishing with 200% health and 200%
armor (or whatever the possible max is), and I must say they're
incredibly boring. Watching the player carefully edge around health
packs and take heavy damage in situations that would be easily
tolerable with available armor is just plain dull.

The key to an interesting LMP is fast, clean execution. I've tried
to keep my LMPs short, by knowing where I'm going (so I don't have
to spend time looking at the map) and by aggressively going after
	the bad guys.
