This is SCRED v1.0. Yay. Aren't you all amazed? This program is
basically self-explanitory, so it doesn't require much of a text file. Just
type SCRED at the prompt and your in. Push ? for menu help and F10 in the
edit-mode for editing help.

In the editing mode there are a few different modes, such as
Box-Mode and Write-For-Mode. Press F5 to use Box-Mode and F6 for Write-For-
Mode.

[ BOX-MODE ]
When you're in Box-Mode use the arrow keys to adjust the length
and width of the box. Use F3 and F4 to toggle the colors.

[ WRITE-FOR-MODE ]
In Write-For-Mode it will ask you for a character. Type any
character you like. Then it will ask you how many times you want to write it.
Enter how many times you want to write it. It will then ask you if you want
to write it horizontally. If you want the characters to be horizontally
written then press Y, otherwise press N for vertical. After this it will use
the current Colors and write the character you specified horizontally or
vertically for the specified number of times. This is for the people (like me)
who spend 15 minutes manully making ascii boxes by holding ALT and hitting
the numeric keypad over and over and over...

[ Clear EOL ]
When you press TAB it will "ClearEOL".I.E. take the current
background color and make a line of that color from your current postion to
the end of that line.

If you don't get something just experiment in the editor until
you do. Everything in it is pretty simple.

If you're using SCRED for DOOM or DOOM][ just make your picture
and save it into a file. After that just import that file into the ENDOOM
resource using another program that allows you to change resources in the DOOM
WAD, such as DEU or NWT. They will probably have documentation on how to do
this.

In later versions of this program there will be mouse support,
maybe ability to import the resource directly into the DOOM WAD, and some
other things I haven't thought of yet.

Well, That's all for the text file. Have fun editing lumps.

Oh, yeah. Please report any bugs if you find any. Any questions or comments
are welcome as well. You can e-mail me at grk1@cornell.edu.
